He has translated essays by Paul Auster and Selman Rushdie as well as poetry by Joseph Brodsky, Philip Larkin, William Butler Yeats and Richard Wilbur.<br \/>\nHe has published four story collections: <em><strong>One like a Song<\/strong><\/em> (Bosanska knjiga, Sarajevo, 1999); <em><strong>Druga knjiga (The Second Book)<\/strong><\/em> (Bosanska knjiga, Sarajevo, 2000) <em><strong>Travni\u010dko trojstvo (The Travnik Trinity)<\/strong><\/em> (Durieux, Zagreb, 2002); <strong><em>\u010carolija (Magic)<\/em><\/strong> (Gradac, \u010ca\u010dak, 2008);<br \/>\nThree novels: <em><strong>Koncert (A Concert)<\/strong><\/em> (VBZ, Zagreb, 2003); <em><strong>\u0110aur i Zulejha (\u0110aur and Zulejha)<\/strong><\/em> (Zoro, Sarajevo\/Zagreb, 2005); <em><strong>Tranzit, kometa, pomra\u010denje (Transit, Comet, Eclipse)<\/strong> <\/em>(Ajfelov most, Sarajevo, 2007);<br \/>\nA collection of essays: <em><strong>Poslovi i dani (Chores and Days<\/strong><\/em>) (Civitas, Sarajevo, 2005)<br \/>\nA collection of columns: <em><strong>Filigranski plo\u010dnici (The Filigree Pavements)<\/strong><\/em> (XX vek, Beograd, 2009)<br \/>\nA collection of poems: <em><strong>Heroes<\/strong><\/em> (VBZ, Zagreb, 2007)<br \/>\nHis title The Second Book was awarded the \u201cSoros Foundation \u2013 Open Society BiH\u201d prize for the best collection of stories in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2000. An English translation of the same title The Second Book was published in 2005 by Northwestern University Press, in their famous edition Writings From an Unbound Europe.
